DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipyard

DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipyard is located at Qinghuangdao, North China. The main business of SHGSIC is ship-repair, shipbuilding, ship conversion, scrapping, off-shore engineering construction, maintenance, harbor machinery, steel fabrication, shipping spare parts providing, heat-dip galvanization, project construction, wharf loading/unloading and storage business. 

DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipyard has 19 quays of 5641.6m length in total, with steel treatment plant, piping fabrication workshop, hull association workshop, subsection installation, welding workshop as well as complex coating shop and other production equipments. There are over 6000 sets of facility including 600 tons gantry crane, tug boats, 1250 tons hydraulic machineries, edge planers, guillotines, steel pre-treatment line, sheet flattening machine, pipe bending machines, 10 meters lathes, submerged arc welding machines, co2 protection welding machines, CNC steel cutters, plasma cutting machines and photo-electric tracing cutting machines. At present SHGSIC has more than 2,700 employees including 1,000 senior technical workers, professional administrators and engineering technicians. In addition, there are 1,500 contract workers and 12,000 outsourcing workers contribute energy to the production.

DSIC Changxingdao Shipyard

Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Changxingdao Shipyard Co., Ltd. (DSICCX) was established in 2020, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. under China State Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. DSICCX, formerly a joint venture company controlled by DSIC.

DSICCX locates in Changxingdao Economic Zone, Dalian, China, with land requisition of about 1 million square meters, owns 2 dry docks respectively for 300,000 DWT ships(420M*68M*14.6M) and 150,000 DWT ships(330M*58M*13.4M), quay of more than 2,200 meters, the core management team and technical team of more than 400 personnel. Supported by DSIC’s production capacity and technical assistance, DSICCX is capable to provide services that follows the requirements from various Classification societies to owners and clients at home and abroad.

COSCO (CHI) Dalian Shipyard

COSCO (CHI) Dalian Shipyard has an annual repair & conversion capacity of more than 230 vessels, covering mainstream vessel types such as bulk carriers, general cargo carriers, product/chemical tankers, asphalt carriers, cement carriers, PCTCs, livestock carriers, Ro-Ro Vessels, semi-submerged ships, cruises etc. Shipyard has an annual FPSO conversion capacity of 2 to 3 projects, known as the “Top FPSO Conversion Shipyard in the World”, as well as shipbuilding production capacity of over 340,000 DWT.

With a total area of 950,000 m2, COSCO (CHI) Dalian Shipyard has three floating docks and one dry dock, with total docking capacity of 610,000 tons. The shipyard also has sufficient repair and conversion manpower, including 1,500 Steel workers, 1,000 pipe fitters, 360 scaffolding workers and 240 sandblasting guns.

Qingdao Beihai Shipyard is located at Qingdao North China, covers an area of 400,000m2, with 3 docks for shiprepairs. 400,000t Graving , 300,000T Graving & 100,000T Floating. Crane lifting capacity contains 500T Gantry x1set, 200T Gantry Crane x1set, 100T gantry crane x1set, 120T shore crane x1set, Total Wharf length 2800m, average depth is -9m. Qingdao Beihai Shipyard can meet the requirements of Drydocking/Conversion, and can accommodate 20,000TEU container vessel or 400,000DWT cargo vessel or below size.

Qingdao Beihai Shipyard branch has 4 workshops, with a designed capacity of 200 vessels per year, able to repair different kind of vessels include large container, bulk carriers, and chemical/oil tankers, LPG ships, car carrier and Drilling.

CUD (Weihai) Shipyard

CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD belongs to Shandong Xinhong Group Co., Ltd and was established in 2010. The main business scope is ship building & ship repairing, conversion project, imports and exports under the scope of business. CUD (Weihai) Shipyard is located in golden waterway of north-south transportation routes (Location N:36°50’20” E:122°16’00”), by entrance to Bohai Bay, in the east of Jiaodong peninsula, adjacent to the south Korea. The location of shipyard is adjacent to mountain and ocean with pleasant weather and convenient transportation.

CUD (Weihai) shipyard has a state class open port as well as a ice-free port, owns two drydocks, No.1 drydock of DWT 300,000 (355 m x 78 m x 14 m), and No.2 drydock of DWT 200,000 (325 m x 54m x 13 m). Meanwhile, equipped with 80 ton, 60 ton and 40 ton cranes, 3000m of quay berth (1100m for 300,000DWT ships, 1900m for 200,000DWT ships) with Max Draft 9.5m. Production workshop equipped with cranes 40t-80t and all kinds of facility and equipment, total investment abt. RMB 1.5 billion. Its advantageous geographical location and repair condition convenient for ships from various routes for repairing, yard have fully ability to repair all kinds of ships within DWT 300,000.

Yiu Lian Dockyards (Weihai) is located at Weihai/North China, with 1,400,000m2 land area, 165,000sea area and 2,000mtrs berth line and it has two drydocks with (800Tons & 400 Tons Crane).

Yiu Lian Dockyards (Weihai) handles repairs for over 100 vessels annually, including LNG carriers, chemical tankers, oil tankers, bulk cargo ships, container ships, ocean engineering vessels, and various other specialized ships.

Weihai Huadong Ship Repair Co., LTD., adjacent to the natural sheltered harbor the National First-class open port — Shidao Xingang, has 278 employees, including 84 engineering technicians management personnel. The company has 10 functional management departments, with shipping, hull, mechanical electrical, painting four workshops. Covers an area of 80,000 square meters, its berths are 3950 meters long. There are 10 regular berths, including 2 berths of 300,000 tons. Rongcheng Stonestar Shiprepair

Rongcheng Stonestar Ship Repair Co.,Ltd. is located in Longan Port, a national first-class open port at the eastern end of the Shandong Peninsula/Norh China. The company was established on February 26, 2020, and is the second shipyard established by the Australian Shipping Group in China after Weihai Stonda Shipping Co., Ltd. At present, it has one 80000-ton dry ship (240*38 meters), one 50000-ton dry dock (205*38 meters) and seven working docks.

Huarun Dadong Dockyard (HRDD) is located strategically at the mouth of the Yangtze River and opposite both the Shanghai Port and the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Container Terminal. HRDD is the ideal yard for customers to conduct ship repairs and conversions in an economical and efficient manner.

Spanning an area of 1,020,000 sq metres and a coastal line of 2,300 metres, HRDD’s yard facilities are equipped with 8 repair jetties, 4 floating docks and one graving dock. The repair jetties cover a total length of over 2,290 metres, while the graving dock and floating dock can accommodate up to VLCC size vessels. With its facilities, HRDD has an annual capacity to service over 300 vessels and 3 offshore repairs/conversions

COSCO (CHI) Shanghai Shipyard

COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry CO.,LTD is a major member of state-owned COSCO SHIPPING Group Co., Ltd., with an annual volume of 350 ships repair and conversion.

CHI Shanghai is located in Shanghai Changxing Island National Marine Equipment Industrial Park on the south bank of the Yangtze river estuary.

CHI Shanghai covers an area of 570,000 square meters, with length of 4,850 meters, and equips 16 berths including one Offshore Heavy load wharf. There are five floating docks with a total capacity of 790,000 tons.

Ruitai Nantong Shipyard

Ruitai Nantong shipyard has about 300 own employees, including more than 180 engineers, technicians and managers in company; over than 800 employees and subcontract workers. The shipyard covers an area of 396,000 square meters, outfitting quay is 480 meters, the front water depth being 8-12 meters. Chengxi shipyard Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary corporation wholly-owned by China CSSC Holdings Limited. The shipyard is located in Jiangyin city, Jiangsu province, at lower reach of Yangtze River, which is adjacent to the important port cities such as Shanghai, Nantong, Zhangjiagang etc. and it is convenient for river and land transportation. Jiangshu Watts Energy & Engineering

Jiangsu Watts Energy & Engineering has been engaged in ship repair and retrofit services since 2017, handling an average of around 100 vessels per year. The company specializes in docking repairs, installation of Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS), as well as retrofitting mooring equipment and superstructures on various types of vessels, including bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, LPG/LNG vessels, and offshore platforms. Since 2021, Jiangsu Watts has partnered with COSCO Heavy Industry as a strategic collaborator in ship repair and retrofit projects. Zhangjiagang Jiu Sheng Shipyard

Zhangjiagang Jiu Sheng Shipyard is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River at Jingang Town, Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province, close to the Beijing-Shanghai Highway and the cross-junction of the Highway along Yangtze River with its west side bordering Jiangyin City. 

Currently, it has about 2,350 workers, including outsourcing workers and 145 technical professionals. Its key personnel are experienced in ship repair and conversion. Moreover, its personnel structure, staff’s age structure and business structure have gradually become sounder.

Zhangjiagang Jiu Sheng Shipyard covers an area of 123,000 square meters, and owns a 100,000-ton (255m × 45m) dry dock, a 50,000-ton (210m × 35m) dry dock and three berths of a 265m long outfitting pier.

Xinya has an annual capacity to repair over 450 vessels. COSCO (CHI) Zhoushan Shipyard

COSCO (CHI) Zhoushan Shipyard is located at Liuheng Island, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, close to the international sea route and navigation hub clusters in Asia, and it is a newly built shipyard with one DWT 150,000 dock and four piers in service. Importantly, COSCO (CHI) Zhoushan Shipyard is building a very large ship repairing, building and conversion base composing of three docks ranging from DWT 80,000 to DWT 300,000 (Dock capacity: nearly DWT 1,110,000), three piers, 4,500m coastline and 2,000,000 m2 land area.

Zhoushan Longshan Shipyard

Zhoushan Longshan Shipyard Co., Ltd is located at Liuheng Island, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, in close proximity to Ningbo -Zhoushan Port and Shanghai Port etc.

The shipyard covers an area of 250,000 square meters and features 2 dry docks and 4 repair wharfs with a total length of 1,000 meters, fully equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities. Each year, the yard completes repairs on over 180 vessels, including bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, PCC Ro-Ro vessels, and LPG carriers. In terms of retrofitting, the shipyard has successfully installed SOx scrubbers on more than 50 vessels and Ballast Water Treatment Systems on over 300 vessels.

IMCZY occupies an area of 500,000 sq. meters and 1900 meters of coastline.

Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard

Zhoushan Changhong International Ship Repair Co., Ltd. is located in Zhoushan Islands New District, Zhejiang Province. 

At present, Changhong International has set up three shipbuilding industry bases in Dinghai District, Putuo District and Daishan County, namely Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Co., LTD. (Headquarters), Zhoushan Putuo Changhong Shipbuilding Co., LTD., and Zhoushan CIMC Changhong Shipbuilding Co., LTD. At present, it is the only large-scale shipbuilding industry enterprise in the world that integrates shipbuilding, ship repair, ship dismantling and metal resource utilization.

The three bases have a total investment of more than 10 billion yuan, an area of more than 5.8 million square meters, a total shoreline of more than 12,400 meters, an annual shipbuilding capacity of more than 3 million deadweight tons, and an annual ship repair capacity of more than 600. The three bases are adjacent to the International Golden Waterway and face Shanghai Yangshan Port across the sea. Wide water depth, convenient transportation, unique geographical location.

Zhoushan Huafeng Shipyard was established in March 2017, in Zhoushan, China. The company covers an area of 458,000 square meters and a total coastline of 1,728 meters. There are two grave docks and five berths.
Daishan Huafeng Shipyard was founded in April 2020, located in Daishan, China. The company covers an area of 269,873 square meters. There are two grave docks and seven berths. The two companies have more than 5,000 employees in total. Total lenght of berth is 2680m (length of berth can be reached to 3500m once the overall planning is completed).

Paxocean Engineering (Zhoushan)

PaxOcean Zhoushan in Zhejiang, China, is equipped with two ultra-large graving docks, a pier berth of 576m with 12m water depth and a 900T crane. The docks are built to accommodate all types of ULCC, VLOC, OBO, Suezmax and FPSO vessels of up to 400,000 DWT, and large container ships of up to 16,000 TEUs.

Nanyang Star Group

Nanyang Star Group is a modern large-scale ship repair and construction group established in April 2004.

The group is headquartered in Dinghai District, Zhoushan City. It has two production bases, namely: Zhoushan Nanyang Star Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Nanyang Star Production Base) located in Cezi Island, Dinghai District, Zhoushan City, and Zhoushan Zhongtian Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (Zhongtian Heavy Industry Production Base) located in Changbai Island, Dinghai District, Zhoushan City.

Zhoushan Nanyang Star Shipbuilding Co. Ltd (NASCO)

The yard is capable of repairing all kinds of vessels including Panamax bulk carriers, container ships, car carriers, oil tankers etc. NASCO is located in Cezi Island, Dinghai District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China, covering an area of 200,000m2 with a coastline of 800m in length. It has one 80,000DWT drydock and one 200,000DWT drydock (under construction) with one 200,000DWT and one 80,000DWT outfitting jetty. The yard is equipped with 60T/30T/25T rail cranes, with cherry pickers in dock as well as hull workshop, M&E workshop and other facilities.

Zhoushan Zhongtian Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd (ZTHl shipyard) is located at Changbai lsland, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. lt occupies an area of 1 million square meters with an impressive coastline of 3,500meters. The yard projected to build 4 dry docks and 3 quays. Now the shipyard has built 2 docks and 2 quays: Dry dock No.1 is 100,000DWT, 280m*40m Dry dock No.2 is 200,000DWT, 340m*54m Quay No.1 is 470m*25m with 2 berths for 100,000DWT vessel. Quay No.2 is 600m*40m with 2 berths for 200,00ODWT vessel. Now, 2 dry-docks, 2 quays, hull workshop, M&Eworkshop, painting workshop, service workshop, air compressor room and other production supporting equipment have been put into operation.

Zhoushan Longsheng Shipyard is located on Dongxiezhi Island, just 400 meters from Zhoushan Main Island, adjacent to major international shipping routes. The shipyard spans 88,000 square meters and benefits from deep-water wharfs, extensive coastline, and land resources. It features two graving docks with capacities of 60,000 tons and 10,000 tons, respectively. The docking draft reaches 8 meters, while the berthing draft is 10 meters. With two docks and eight berths, the shipyard is equipped to accommodate a wide range of vessels for dry-docking and repair services.

Zhoushan Hongzhou Shipbuilding

Zhoushan Hongzhou Shipbuilding is located on Dongxiezhi Island, east of Dinghai District in Zhoushan City, just north of Dinghai. The shipyard covers an area of 50,000 square meters and features a dry dock measuring 196 meters in length, 34 meters in internal width, and 28 meters at the entrance, capable of accommodating vessels up to 40,000 DWT. The dock crane has a lifting capacity of 60 tons. The yard also has two piers: one is 140 meters long and 15 meters wide, designed to berth vessels up to 40,000 DWT, with a shore crane capacity of 30 tons. The second pier is 80 meters long and 15 meters wide, with a lifting capacity of 20 tons, suitable for vessels up to 20,000 DWT.

Fujian Huadong Shipyard

Fujian Huadong Shipyard is situated on the northern coast of Fujian Luoyuan Bay, recognized as one of the most ideal deep-water sheltered ports in mainland China. The shipyard began operations in repairs and new constructions in 2011 and covers an area of approximately 700,000 square meters, with a deep-water shoreline of about 2,250 meters.

The shipyard features three dry docks with capacities of 400,000 DWT (375 m x 72 m), 170,000 DWT (295 m x 50 m), and 100,000 DWT (245 m x 41.8 m), respectively. It also has a slipway capable of accommodating 50,000 DWT (280 m x 75 m) and a repair pier measuring about 1,300 meters, which can handle 300,000 DWT and includes six berths (with plans for a second-phase project to extend the pier by an additional 400 meters). Additionally, the shipyard has workshops covering around 50,000 square meters, equipped with supporting production facilities and equipment.

Fujian Boyang Shipyard

Fujian Boyang Ship Industry Co., Ltd. is located on the northern part of Quanzhou Dongzhou Peninsula, in the Douwei Port area along the southern bank of Meizhou Bay. The company spans approximately 125 hectares, with a sea area of about 206.4 hectares and a shoreline exceeding 3,600 meters.

Yiu Lian Dockyards (Shekou)

The Mazhou Island Base is a large-scale ship repair and offshore building base invested by China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. The total area of the base is 700,000 square meters. It has a coastline of 3,400 meters and is equipped with two dry docks with the size 400mX83mX14m and 360mX67mX14.5m and two floating docks with the capacity 70,000-ton and 30,000-ton. Now the base is one of the largest ship repair and offshore building bases in China.

There are two companies in the base: One is China Merchants Heavy Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., which is mainly engaged in the construction of offshore equipment and special engineering vessels. The other is Yiu Lian Dockyards (Shekou) Co., Ltd., which primarily repairs and refits large ships and offshore equipment.

The target products include: the repairing and refitting of VLCC, cruise liners, large container ships, FPSO, FSO, LNG carriers and other various high-end ships, and repairing and refitting of offshore oil drilling platform.

Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard

Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard Co., Ltd. (referred as GWD for short) is located in Longxue Island, Nansha District, Guangzhou, which is one of the three major shipbuilding bases in China. The shipyard is located in the golden position of the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta, adjacent to the Pearl River Waterway in the East, adjacent to Nansha port, Hong Kong port, Yantian port and other major ports in the south, and adjacent to the five international airports of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao.

GWD is equipped with first-class facilities and resources, including an approximately 1,900-meter-long quay with a water depth of 9.5 meters. The shipyard features two dry docks designed for vessels of 200,000 tons and 300,000 tons, respectively.

The No. 1 dry dock measures 360 meters in length, 65 meters in width, and 13.3 meters in depth, making it suitable for Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs). The No. 2 dry dock is 431 meters long, 74 meters wide, and 13.3 meters deep, accommodating Panamax carriers, ultra-large container ships, and the conversion and repair of Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. This dry dock can handle repairs and conversions for container vessels up to 20,000 TEU and ships up to 400,000 DWT.

GWD specializes in the repair and conversion of container carriers, oil tankers, bulk carriers, engineering ships, chemical tankers, dredgers, and public service vessels, with a maximum capacity of 300,000 DWT.

Ocean Shipyard

Ocean Shipyard is located in the southern part of the city of Mykolaiv оn the left bank of the Yuzhny Bug river with an open access to the Black Sea. The yard was founded in 1951. In 2000 it was privatized by Dutch Damen shipyard group, who was the owner until 2006 and after that, Ocean Shipyard was purchased by the Norwegian Aker group . 

Throughout this period, the shipyard focused on the full construction of new vessels. In 2018, after passing through several owners, Ocean Shipyard was acquired by a Ukrainian business group at an open auction. Today, the yard employs 700 people and operates in new vessel construction, ship repair, and metal fabrication

Chernomorsk Shiprepair Yard was established in 1951 at the convenient harbour of Sukhoi Estuary (the northwestern Black Sea). Located at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – Spain, REPNAVAL is a shipyard specialized in repairs, conversions and maintenance of ships weighing up to 5500 MT in dry dock. Its facilities are equipped with 5 slipways ready to dry dock ships of maximum dimensions of 123 meters long and 21 meters wide.

MSR Gryfia

The Marine Ship Repair Yard “Gryfia” J. S. C. (MSR Gryfia), located in Poland, provides services in repairs, conversions and new builds. Cochin Shipyard

Cochin Shipyard, located in the West Coast of India is equipped with a repair dock of 270 x 45 x 12 M (Dock-1), that can accommodate ships up to 125,000 DWT. They have high capacity discharge pumps to drain it in less than three hours. It is served by four LLTT cranes, two of 40 T each, one of 60 T and one of 10 T capacity. The dry dock is fitted with Hauling Carriage for safe docking and un-docking of ships.

Total water frontage (Quays) of 1128 Mtrs is available for undertaking afloat repairs and divided into Quay 1 (290 Mtrs), Quay 2 (208 Mtrs) and Quay 3 (630 Mtrs).
